Built to perform. Engineered for reliability. Economical to install.
For demanding environments where reliability is critical and budgets matter, Viega has developed Temponox – a robust stainless steel press connector system designed specifically for closed-loop heating and cooling installations. Available in sizes from 15 to 108 mm, Temponox delivers the durability, corrosion resistance, and cost-efficient installation industrial contractors demand.
Optimised Materials for Industrial Confidence
Temponox is built using press connectors made from stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) and pipes made from stainless steel 1.4520 (AISI 444). This material combination provides excellent corrosion resistance within closed systems and ensures dependable performance over time – without the need for costly external protection measures often required with unalloyed steel.
Fully Compliant. Highly Capable.
Temponox meets all relevant European technical standards:
- Pipes and press connectors according to DIN EN 10088-2 and DIN EN 10312
- System suitability for heating applications in line with VDI 2035 and DIN EN 12828
Temponox is approved for use in:
- Closed heating and cooling systems
- Compressed air systems
- Solar installations (flat collectors and vacuum tube systems)
Engineered for Strength and Flow
The Temponox system features flow-optimised press connectors with cylindrical pipe guides that enhance hydraulic performance. Sizes from 76.1 mm and above include a stainless-steel cutting ring to strengthen the mechanical connection under high load.
The pressing force is applied both before and after the sealing element, which further improves reliability and connector integrity in industrial applications where safety cannot be compromised.
Fast, Safe, Flame-Free Installation
With Viega’s proven press technology, Temponox enables clean, safe, and efficient installation – without the need for skilled labour, hot work permits or open flames. Compared to traditional methods like brazing, welding or threading, pressing is up to 80% faster, significantly minimising system downtime, reducing labour time and keeping critical operations to stay on schedule.
To ensure system integrity, SC-Contur – a built-in safety feature – makes any unpressed connections visibly leak during pressure testing. This allows for rapid quality assurance and avoids costly callbacks.
